Welcome to Torup Castle – one of the best-preserved Renaissance castles in Scandinavia from the 16th century! On a guided tour, you will see the castle’s magnificent state apartments, including the famous dining hall with its gilded leather wall coverings from the 17th century.

Our knowledgeable guides will tell you about Torup’s long history, filled with many fascinating human stories – from the castle’s builder, Lady Görvel Fadersdotter Sparre, to the “uncrowned queen of Scania,” Baroness Henriette Coyet, who around the turn of the 20th century made Torup a gathering place for Sweden’s cultural elite. The castle, with its Arts & Crafts–inspired park and the nearby recreational area Bokskogen, is the perfect destination for a day trip.

Please note that entry and assembly at the castle take place 15 minutes before the scheduled time. The castle is not accessible for visitors with reduced mobility and has many stairs. Consumption of food and beverages, pets and baby
strollers are not permitted inside the castle.
