"Bring me sunshine in your smile, bring me laughter all the while..." - (Morecambe and Wise, BBC, 1969)
Playmate Theatre Malmö open their second season of quality theatre in English in Malmö, after a first year of sold-out performances.
Watch as the characters on stage stumble hilariously through life, in love, out of love, together and alone.
Meet a mother no more, a worm at the bottom of the garden and a French cook called Estragon.
Watch while Wanda waggles wildly, waiting in the wings, marriages crumble, the taxi metre ticks over and the hand of God presides over it all.
Four core actors interpret some of the best modern British and American storytelling and playwriting, woven into a poignant, moving and hugely entertaining series of sketches.
An adaptation for the stage created specifically by the cast and American/Danish director Jeremy Thomas-Poulsen, based on works the likes of Harold Pinter, Roald Dahl, Willy Russel, Ted Hughes, Christopher Durang and more.
The evening has wit, a smattering of music, vintage British TV satire, classic American humour and oodles of that wry, British je-ne-sais-quoi.
The result? A chocolate box of theatre. Bitter and sweet stories, moments of darkness, drama, laughter and delight, as varied as a box of Quality Street chocolates itself.
The evening is a must for Anglophiles, Brits, theatre and language lovers alike.
