Susan Putnins

Susan Putnins is a long-time singer, songwriter, and pianist who was based in the USA before moving to Malmö in 2023.

She helmed indie pop band The Sinister Turns before her most recent turn in the art rock trio Starlings. Heavily inspired by musical theater, Susan’s music is melodramatic, dynamic, and passionate with abstract yet narrative-driven lyrics.

Alongside her music, Susan has worked in mission-driven social impact as an evaluator and facilitator. With this background, Susan produces events that are a blend of concert and purposeful community gathering.
